Answer poll, pleez!

Writer Wednesday

In case you missed the publisher’s post (since it has no followers at the moment) – new release (as hinted in last Thursday’s post):

SMIgalpol_resizeTwo โ€œStar Minds Interregnumโ€ stories

Yash runs away from his home planet to escape abuse. A short-lived rush through the Milky Way.

A Galaxy Policeโ€™s officer to psychometry tries to nail serial killers and find missing persons.

ebook available on Amazon US, Apple US, Barnes&Noble, Kobo US and Smashwords. Cover art by Shafali Anand.

And then I have a poll that I hope you won’t ignore. I really want a title for my series of vampires historicals, so here are a few suggestions to pick from, or you can suggest your own in the comments…

Now, for the rest of the writing! September I won’t be writing anything new except the assignments for the online workshops, but I’ll be busy formatting and publishing stuff. I need to finish a couple of translations and want to republish a few stories with the discarded pen-name. Not to mention a couple more science fantasy thingies, so you won’t even notice that I’m not writing much! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m working on the POD versions of the Star Minds collections that have come out so far (and the one that will come out soon) along with others… so I guess I can call September the Createspace month, LOL!

And last Friday there was a thunderstorm that left me without phone or internet for 24 hours, which means I’ve finally started on the last chapter of S.K.Y.B.A.N.D. – so when I’m not formatting or translating, I’ll be drawing. Hence not much room left for writing this month. Sigh.

Writerly links! Be patient – dream big and work to make those dreams come true. Like I’m trying to do. There’s KU on Amazon India now, and I’m following a discussion about it. Some authors still swear by KDP Select, but I won’t try it yet. I do want to experiment with that, but so far I don’t have standalone novels or novellas that might work on KDP Select/KU.

Good stuff from Dean Wesley Smith (besides his online workshops):

Secondly, PayPal now has a nifty new thing. You can send money directly to someone without going through all the PayPal issues. Itโ€™s called

If you have a PayPal account and are getting money from anyone, this looks very promising. I would most certainly go claim your name with your PayPal account now.

I only receive payments from Smashwords and Draft2Digital on Paypal, but since I went there to pay an artist, I claimed mine. And if you’re an artist, editor, proofreader, etc, go claim yours now! ๐Ÿ™‚

More Zombie Meme at Joe Konrath’s blog about the tsunami of crap… And a wonderful parallel between running and writing by Kris Rusch. I’m married to Mr Writing, so I guess I’m obsessed! ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s all for now! Stay tuned and have a great week!

Surprise Sunday

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all busy with the blog hop! I’ve just started visiting the 170+ blogs that signed up, but I’m sure I’ll have to continue through next week – which is probably fine since I might have a slower week at DayJob, LOL.

I’ll be doing a sort of Art Sunday. First of all, if you don’t already know her, please check Shafali’s books on Smashwords. Her latest work, Oglers Inc, is a verbal caricature as funny as the others. Especially for us women, used to those oglers throughout our lives. She nailed it again! Really, you shouldn’t miss her or her blog! ๐Ÿ™‚ (although she still owes me a certain caricature… *ahem!* Just kidding! :D)

b086c5089009c3855b08ceb51999c0ff0a70c870Now, since B.G. Hope has a new title out – the funniest body switch I have written to date, I hope you’ll have as much fun reading it as I had writing it – I’ll post here the links to all the retailers. The print version will come out next year when all 3 body switches are written. So, ladies and gentlemen, please check Ciaran&Harith on Smashwords, Amazon, Apple US, Kobo or Barnes&Noble.

The cover still features Samantha the Witch, in case you were wondering (like Johnny&Marian). I couldn’t do the cover with the virtual cast, so I used her, since she’s always available for pics! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Still working for B.G. – told ya it’s her month, didn’t I? – I’m preparing the covers for her next n0vella, based on my last screenplay (written in 2009/2010) Choices. Please help me choose the cover here. First, I’ll show you the other B.G. Hope covers of the other novella based on a screenplay and the anthology that is also in the blog hop giveaway – both obviously romantic/love stories:

Here are the covers for Choices. The theme is ambition and money (hence the “diamond” shape and the green background – should be $-green, hope it is). And since his past is catching up on him, and he’s questioning his choices, he’s turned towards the left – or looking behind, so to speak – especially in the first.

ChoicesSo, what do you think? Left (1) or right (2)? I’ll do a little poll, so your voting can be multiple AND anonymous!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Surprise Sunday

Okay, new year, new name for Sunday posts.ย  It can be an Art Sunday, a Guest Sunday, a Six Sentence Sunday – whatever, I won’t know ahead of time, LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll start the year with a Poll for my 160 wonderful followers and 190 Facebook fans (and my Facebook friends, but not all of them speak English…) – don’t worry, it’s totally anonymous, don’t be afraid to answer! ๐Ÿ™‚ And yes, multiple choices are fine too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Whew, it’s become easier to embed the polls in blog posts. Thanks WP! Lots of changes since my last poll, LOL! Anywhow, I hope this poll gets at least 100 votes (the others got a dozen votes in total…) – so go hit those buttons, thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ Don’t make me whine it was worse than a year ago when I had half of the followers I have now…

Now we’re back to the old theme, as snow has stopped falling on WP blogs… and hasn’t shown in this town yet. But then, last year we had snow in February – the best snow since 1985.

Art Sunday! A drawing of Amazonia – will be used on the e-book cover, but not as is. Thought I’d paste it in the blog post, but there’s already one image today, so you’ll have to click on the above link to see the first Amazon Queen and read about the birth of this drawing! ๐Ÿ˜‰ And then you have Selene the Huntressย  and her sister Aurora – first drawings with new graphic tablet mentioned in previous post! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Doesn’t look different, does it? That’s why you Wacom lovers and true artists shouldn’t hiss at me. I know Wacom is the best, but for my skills Trust works fine too! ๐Ÿ˜€

Story Wednesday and a request

Sooo, it’s Story Wednesday! Are you enjoying my foul-mouthed Cinderella? Hop to Serial Central and check that gal – poor Prince Charming will have to fight to get her! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I just love twisting fairy tales…

OK, I now have a request. I need a copy-editor for Jessamine. Someone who can check typos and grammar mistakes QUICK. It’s now 10000words (it was 8400 on Serial Central, so I’ve added up some stuff! ;-)) and I need someone fast, as I want to put it on Smashwords ASAP. Any volunteers? A reminder – it’s PG13 for mild sex and violence, so do not request if it offends you. But if you’re a mature reader and would like to go for it, you’ll be thanked on the final file, I promise! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’ll keep this short and leave you with another little poll: help me choose the title for my historical novel. Here are the choices. I won’t make the post sticky, but I won’t pick up the winner until the new year anyway. Happy voting!

Story Wednesday, a request and a poll

Story Wednesday?

OK, projects for the blog! You know WoW Saturdays end in September, right? It will give me time to gather more quotes for next year. And we can play a game, as someone pointed out that the acronym made her think about World of Warcraft. What other acronyms can you find for WoW? Here are mine:

World of Writers/Why

Wish or Want/Will

Will of Words

Write or Wrong

Win or Woe

Wait or Win

Whistle of Words

Wrap or Wrath

War of Wills

Also, I’ve been thinking about posting some fiction. Lua has Story Monday, J.P. has started Story Tuesday, so I’ll have Story Wednesday! From September, which gives me time to decide what to post. Maybe I should run a little poll. So, what would you like to read

1) a sword&sorcery with magic and strange beings

2) meet my Amazons (not much magic involve, but definitely fantasy – and men usually don’t like it! ;-))

3) a former graphic-novel/screenplay turned into a novel – again heroic fantasy of some sort, but I have some drawings to go with it.

You have the whole month to vote, I’ll do the poll as a sticky post for all of August.

Happy writing!
