Happiness is…

Random Friday

This summer has been worse than ever for buses. And it’s made worse by the buss app that showed me this city has plenty of Ghost Buses? The app says “now” and no bus shows up – must be the Ghost Bus for Old Silvery Earth or another dimension only transdimensional travelers can see except for that glitch on the Moovit App.

It says “4 min” and then “12 min” – again, a bus vanished in a wormhole? – and sometimes the bus shows up when the app says nothing. Huh? Whatever the cause, it’s happening way too often. It takes me 1hour to go home (or get to work) when school is out – only 5km, 20/30 minutes (depending on the traffic) bus ride if the bus shows up.

I’ve had 50 minutes wait for a 20 minutes trip… and sometimes I try alternatives, like changing bus, but it doesn’t always help. Add the heat and you havea very unhappy person here! Looking forward to going north, if only for a week of cooler weather!

But it’s great microfiction and maybe one day it will be a short story (“The Ghost Bus To Nowhere”). By the way, Da Muse seems quite good with microfiction from a picture himself. Maybe he should pair with Da Other Muse who now publishes Artbooks. Since Da Muse uses words and images to tell his little stories – unless he wants to enter the hall of Twitterature, since he is a Twitterati! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah, well, I do microfiction myself when I write Da Strip… that I still have no idea of how to publish, but I doubt anyone is actually looking forward to reading it, so… have a great weekend! ๐Ÿ˜€

Random Friday

Muse Randomness. Last weekend’s brainstorming:2016sevenRADOwipSmallThis week’s vignette – almost a Happiness is, right?35 hug_resize

And it’s because…

I booked the flights and the hotel, so London, I’m coming! ๐Ÿ™‚ And I might have time for a trip to Hastings – the battlefield, not the city as well… in less than two months, whoot! ๐Ÿ˜€

Have a great weekend!

Random Friday

Total randomness brings back the 20th century in this last month of the year. I’ve been reminded of former muses too much lately! And not only because I meant to put them in Da Strip…

strip incomplete to be colored and adjusted…

And by the way, today is a former muse’s birthday… last movie I’ve seen is World War Z! The favorite is probably still Interview with the vampire… ๐Ÿ˜‰

First a Google Alert on Muse K showed the grown-up daughter of a former muse who for some reason uses her mother’s name… but whatever! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then I rewatched Total Eclipse (which, by the way, mentions… muses and how to celebrate them) and Basketball Diaries. Last movie I’ve seen is Django Unchained, and Inception before that.

There’s the immortal boys of 1964 who haven’t changed much – although one I have sorta lost track of, since the last movie I saw is You, me and Dupree (2006), but I recently rewatched Beautiful Girls (1996) for some inspiration.

The other I follow on Facebook, got his solo album and I know they’re both as immortal and unchangeable as Muse K! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And then trying to remind myself what the 1980s muses looked like, I stumbled upon the man from whom I stole my pen name… boy, he still looks good! Pity that the second best voice of the 80s (after Morten Harkett of A-ha) has moved on to other things.

And that both Wikipedia and IMDB mispell his first name. Should I post the “ID sheet” he filled with his own hand in the 1980s for an Italian magazine? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Can you believe he was the inspiration for Gaurishankar, whom Daniele calls… with his real name, even though I wrote Technological Angel years after he was famous as the singer of a pop band (and in fact Gaurishankar looks like the guy in the video of Home is where the heart is, LOL)?

Anyhow, he’s a composer and filmmaker and he even won a BAFTA, so I’ll have to get meself a DVD or two in January! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And speaking of movies and the 1980s… I was 15 when The Empire Strikes Back came out, and I saw it in theaters before Star Wars (that came back into theaters after the second movie came out). I love the original trilogy.

Will I see the sequels? No more than I watched the 4th Indiana Jones. Nope. Sorry. I’d rather remember Han Solo and Indiana Jones in their thirties… ๐Ÿ˜‰ Have a great weekend!

Sunday Surprise

Should have been artworks, but there’s only one new upload on DeviantART (although it’s two drawings, done last weekend). Been watching old movies and writing and reading, so… no more pencil portraits for now. So Thus I’m posting the “summary” of 2013 and how I got to doing a strip. These strips are done copy-pasting from Superdeformed Threesome Millennium, included in 15 years of Creative Barbwire – all from 2013! Enjoy.

Random Friday

An article about Author vs. Writer – on a random Friday because… here’s my own version:

Author is the writer of that one single literary masterpiece that won accolades, while Writer is the professional who lives off his royalties! ๐Ÿ˜‰
I consider myself an author because I not only write, but also draw my own comics and graphic novels every now and then (although drawing is more a hobby/passion, writing is my calling).
So that’s why I consider myself an author. And a writer. And a hobbyist artist. Gee, these labels are confusing, LOL!

Maybe I should just say Creator… Although I already say I’m the Creative Goddess of Silvery Earth. Megalomaniac much? So? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Don’t worry, I’m actually human and are prone so self-doubt every now and then.

And since it’s Friday, I’ll let the artist talk today! Although Da Muses are for the AUTHOR, since they inspire both my writing and my drawing…

Of course I couldn’t do any drawings last weekend (but I will this weekend, mwhahahaha!), but I do have another nasty vignette on Da Muse – because he drives me crazy and can’t even call him Muse #2, because he’s becoming #1, so I’ll have to find another way to differentiate them, gaaah!

Anyhow, here’s the news doing the rounds lately, and my reaction.

naked2I’d rather watch these animated GIFs for the rest of the day (or maybe the full videos) instead of the above… because he’s a man with moves! And when he dances I can’t take my eyes off of him! ๐Ÿ˜€

The first to hit me on the head is, of course, Dhoom 2. All that video/song’s fault. And I didn’t even see it on a big screen, but on DVD. Laskhya and Krazzy 4 are still on my wishlist – maybe next month I’ll find them in Southall. Guzaarish – that’s the reason why I bought the movie: I saw that bit and said “I want it”. Kites and Luck By Chance – more favorites. Bang Bang is the only one I saw on the big screen. And Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai… well, he was young, but he could already move! ๐Ÿ˜€

I could add a few more… but I’m going to shut up now. Back to writing! And drawing! Have a great weekend!
